I had pretty delicious eats yesterday.
BREAKFAST 7:00 amA slice of Ezekiel bread smeared with Smart Balance Light Butter as well as a brown green smoothieI attempt to have a green smoothie a couple of times each week. Yesterdays included hemp milk (recommended by Laury!), frozen banana, 5 frozen strawberries & 2 handfuls of spinach.
SNACK 10:00amGala AppleMy apple per day!
LUNCH 11:30amRomaine lettuce from garden with sliced strawberries and dried currants Along with an almond butter and raspberry preserves sandwich on oat bread
This is one of the best sandwhich combination. Almond & raspberry pair so well together.SNACK 3:00pm An Anisi Honey Filled WaferI found these yesterday and knew I wanted them for my snack. My dad accustomed to always bring these home when I was younger and I loved them. They’re super thin wafers filled up with a small amount of honey. Crispy and chewy. So simple & good.
DINNER 5:30pmChipotle marinated shrimp with cilantro-lime brown rice and roasted broccoliDinner was great. I’ve been making brown rice inside the oven lately and yes it truly is unquestionably a great way to cook it. Whenever I’d make brown rice within the stove top, it’d always emerge too sticky and clumpy. Now, I just mix some broth together with the rice and stick it inside the oven with an hour and it also comes out perfect each time. We’ll be sharing the recipe tomorrow so go back for that. It truly is a recipe that you might want to keep and make use of for the years into the future.
DESSERT 7:00pmRaspberry Buttermilk CakeNow how good does that cake look?Rinaldo & I had some company yesterday. Our backyard neighbors, Lynn and Pat stopped by to admire our backyard in the end enjoyed this lovely cake plus some iced tea. They’re always so serious about what Rinaldo plants and we all more than happy to invite them over in order that they could get a fantastic look at everything. It was nice knowing them both slightly better. They’re always outside attending to their own plants and backyards thus it was nice for all of us all to stay and get to find out one another.
I had some leftover buttermilk from baking last weekend. After researching some buttermilk cakes I knew I wanted to generate this recipe. This cake is wonderful! Lynn and Pat both gave it rave reviews and both Rinaldo & I deemed it a success! It’s actaully a fairly light cake, but I really need to try and fiddle with rendering it a little more healthier- so stayed tuned with the!
What was a very important thing you ate yesterday? For me, dinner was fabulous and dinner topped it!
